Big Changes for Brizvegas!
The Finders Keepers Brisbane market will now be held at Brisbane Showgrounds, The Marquee, Bowen Hills, Brisbane
We’ve loved the intimacy of hosting our events at the Old Museum over the past years. However, we’ve reached capacity in this location and a rising demand from stallholders and shoppers sent us on a mission to create an event that could be on a much larger scale and compare with our other major city markets.
In 2017 we will focus on hosting one blockbuster event in Brisbane. We’re focusing on growing the number of stallholders we can accept into Brisbane, adding a bar, as well as adding an extra day of trade.
Stay tuned for further Brisbane updates closer to the event time.
Melbourne Apps Now Open
The markets will return to the wondrous Royal Exhibition Building on Friday 14th – Sunday 16th July.
Applications for stallholders who make and produce original and creative work, independent and innovative designs, or high quality products of a hand made nature are NOW OPEN.
As the number of applications grows each year, naturally, so does the competition. We anticipate an overwhelming response in our tenth anniversary year and will continue to ensure that the market remains full of fresh, exciting and ethical ideas. If you are a designer or artist interested in applying for the markets please head here!
Don’t miss out; applications close 24th February!
Additional Changes
Many of you will be aware that in 2016, Finders Keepers piloted a market in Adelaide. While this event was a success on many fronts, it didn’t come without sacrifice behind the scenes. We are continuing to work on different venues, formats and business models for Adelaide and endeavour to bring it back onto the annual market calendar in the future.
We’re big believers that less markets, doesn’t mean less opportunities. In fact it can mean more! Make sure you stay closely tuned for a BIG online surprise coming soon. Bringing more opportunities to all of our stallholders.
Lastly, don’t forget that our Sydney venue has also changed. The Finders Keepers Sydney Market will now be held at The Cutaway, Barangaroo Reserve – the city’s newest and most flexible cultural space. Along with the venue change we’re also adding an extra hour of trade to Friday night for Autumn / Winter. For all of our keen shoppers, doors will now swing open at 5pm! For more information regarding this move head over here.
Loving the concept for Brissy more space for punters and stallies a definite winner.plus the bar and food being a available makes it a complete day/evening out.
Great to have the dates for the full year too…thanks team
Can I please confirm if Brisbane is no longer holding an autumn / winter market? This is very disappointing if that is the case. Is there a reason gor this?
Kind regards
Catherine Pepper
Hi as a retailer I’d like to know if wholesale is generally available at finders keepers?
Thanks
Hi Melinda,
That really depends on the seller, however many are prepared for wholesale opportunities so it’s always worth asking! The Finders Keepers markets provide a great opportunity for you to chat directly with designers and makers, and many retailers do take advantage of this at our markets.
Cheers
Renee
Hi Catherine,
Yes, as we’ve mentioned in this blog post, this year we will focus on hosting one blockbuster event in Brisbane. We’re growing the number of stallholders, adding a bar, as well as adding an extra day of trade.
We’ve loved the intimacy of hosting our events at the Old Museum over the past years. However, we’ve reached capacity in this location and a rising demand from stallholders and shoppers sent us on a mission to create an event that could be on a much larger scale and compare with our other major city markets.
We trust that you understand and hope to see you in November at the Brisbane Showgrounds!
Cheers
Renee
Hi, could you let me know the cost of having a stall at the next Finders Keepers market in Adelaide.
Thanks
Hey Robyn,
Thanks for your comment! As we’ve mentioned above, we won’t be back in Adelaide in 2017, but please keep an eye out right here on our website for further updates.
In the meantime, if you wish to check out the prices for our Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne markets, you can head right here.
Cheers
Renee
Hello
Will you be holding a market in Adelaide again this year?
Thank you
