TFK x BAD Pop-up Market This Weekend!

Hey Brisbane! We missed you and can’t wait to be back in your city with 28 incredible local makers for a one-day pop-up market in collaboration with Brisbane Art Design 2023. There’s SO MUCH happening on the day, and we’d love to see you! Find out all the market details, get the goss on workshops and talks and plan your trip! Peppermint Presents Cut x Paste:

Come for the market, and stay for the crafty fun! Emma Anna from Cut X Paste Brisbane will be on-site hosting a FREE Cut It Out Collaging Workshop with our friends at Peppermint Magazine. Join Emma anytime between 10am – 1pm and create your unique collage art! While you’re at it, stop by the Peppermint Magazine stall, say g’day to their wonderful team and snap a selfie. We’re big fans of this locally made mag choc-full of sustainability gems, brands doing good and free sewing patterns.

More BAD Workshops & Talks

The Black will also host several creative and inspiring workshops and talks on Saturday, the 20th of May. Learn how to make Japanese moss balls in a Kokedama Class, listen to a PechaKucha Presentation with local artists, try your hand at clay with a Pinch Pot Workshop hosted by Michelle Le Plastrier or join a mindful Art and Self Love Workshop, a watercolour painting workshop encouraging discussion about body image between friends and strangers. Get to know the BAD neighbourhood better with a guided walking trail kicking off at The Black. This free, low-impact walking trail will take guests into local creative spaces to discover Brisbane’s art and design scene. Learn more here.

How to get there & Parking:

The Pop-Up Market will be held inside The Black Brisbane at 37 Collingwood Street Albion, 4010. Parking is available along Collingwood Street and Fox Street along Crosby Park. We recommend public transport such as Bus, Train or E-scooter. For real-time public transport information, enter the venue address into Google Maps. The Black strives to provide inclusive, safe access for all visitors to the venue. The venue is accessible via stairs and a ramp with a disabled parking bay on Collingwood Street.
