Here is our jam packed Food Truck and Farmers Lane line up for our Sydney SS14 Finders Keepers market, our last event for 2014! With five Food Trucks, over 20 Farmers Lane vendors, coffee carts by Allpress & bars by Stone & Wood, you will be sure to find something tasty and locally made to feast on, both during the event and to take home as well! We are getting hungry just looking at photos of all the yummy local produce.
You can find all of these treats, along side our art & design stalls, vintage emporium, workshops and live music at our Sydney SS14 Finders Keepers market on the 12th & 13th of December at the Australian Technology Park in Eveleigh. Check out the great line up of food trucks & stalls below!
DRINKS & FOOD TRUCKS:
Allpress is a Sydney based coffee roaster providing fresh, high quality coffee. Our speciality Arabica beans are of the highest variety sourced from all around the world, blended together and roasted using hot air roasting technology. This method roasts beans evenly in a stream of hot air with no risk of scorching or tainting and produces cleaner, sweeter tasting coffee every time. There will be two Allpress coffee carts available over the weekend at the markets, catering for the market crowds!
Bite Size Delights
Bite Size Delights offers quality baked products and drinks with a menu featuring a range of traditional Maltese pastizzi, baked freshly on site. These popular and tasty handmade pasty pockets are filled with everything from the traditional spinach and ricotta; pea, lentil, fetta, chicken and mushroom; to beef curry; salmon, dill and ricotta; and chocolate. The technique dates back hundreds of years, involving special hand rolling, layering, folding and baking techniques to bring you that golden crisp burst of flavour that you find when bite into a freshly baked pastizzi.
El Poco Loco
Newcastle’s best Mexican, on wheels. The kid brother of Casa de Loco, the El Poco Loco food truck specialises in fresh, authentic food. We are so thrilled El Poco Loco is making a special trip down to Sydney for our SS14 event!
Stone & Wood
Stone & Wood Brewing Company was founded by three blokes who share a love of beer, taking a fresh approach to brewing handcrafted beer in Byron Bay, one the greatest places on earth. Our brewing philosophy is based on brewing beer that makes the most of the ingredients available today. Beer that simply lets the flavours and aromas of the ingredients shine through by keeping the processes to a minimum. Beer that is simply good to drink. Our beers are an expression of the Stone & Wood approach to life – trying to take things slow and keep it simple. There will be two Stone & Wood bars available at the markets, serving beer as well as other alcoholic refreshments during the event.
The Nighthawk Diner
The Nighthawk Diner was founded by a couple of young chefs with backgrounds in French fine dining. They have been borderline-obsessed with American culture since they were raised feeling as though Chevy Chase was the father every boy dreamed of, and Sesame Street was just a suburb over. You can expect handmade deliciousness that includes re-worked diner classics like the cheeseburger and milkshake. Non-bastardised, handmade simplicity – all ingredients including the bun, made from scratch.
Tsuru food truck
Tsuru is a custom food truck rolling out Asian street fares in the streets of Sydney. Tsuru’s signature dish the Pork Belly Bun has won the hearts of many with its tender melt-in-the-mouth braised pork belly sandwiched in a soft pillowy house-made bun. Also on the menu is are rice dishes including beef + kimchi & chilli tofu. An exciting news for the Finders Keepers crowd this year is that Tsuru’s Balinese lemongrass chicken roll which was awarded Australia’s Best Lunch Roll in 2012 is making a return at this year’s market!
Veggie Patch Van
The Veggie Patch Van will catch your eye with its farm barn looks but dig a little deeper and you will find high quality vegetarian food using seasonal produce sourced from local growers in NSW, a nod to the ‘paddock to plate’ movement aimed at reconnecting growers with diners. The environment also gets a look in with the van’s exterior made from re-used wood, solar power and all waste produce including packaging being compostable.

Brooklyn Boy Bagels
Brooklyn Boy Bagels is Sydney’s first true artisan New York bagel maker and bakery. Launched by Brooklyn-born food journalist Michael Shafran, we produce bagels using the time-worn traditional methods that have made NYC the bagel capital of the world. From kettle-boiling to hand-rolling, long cold fermentation and top-quality produce, we put our hearts and souls into our bagels. We don’t cut corners, so Australians can enjoy bagels the way they are meant to be: chewy, malty and with the necessary depth of flavour.
Charlie’s Cookies is a Melbourne based boutique manufacturer of gourmet treats. At Charlie’s we believe that the joy in life comes from the MINI moments that happen, while you’re busy planning for the big ones. As well as stocking all of your cookie favourites, Charlie’s has recently taken the quintessentially Australian melting moment and turned it into a trend setting range of 7 different mini flavours.
Coco & Bean
Coco & Bean started in August 2010, from my passion to create beautiful sweets made with the finest natural ingredients. I find myself inspired by the French alluring patisserie shop windows and their delicious petite sweets that fill them. We believe in using local ingredients, organic and sustainable where possible, the finest belgian chocolate, local free range eggs and pure Australian butter. Each individually created by hand, is that specialness behind our product. Belgian Chocolate Brownies, French Macarons and Biscotti, are just some of the sweets we will be bringing to The Finders Keepers market.
We work with the seasons, produce small batches of locally made pickles, preserves & condiments, and support small-scale local producers. Our bottled products change every month with the seasons due to our focus on seasonal produce. We are also influenced by what grows in the Marrickville area, due to our trading system which sees locals bring in their excess backyard produce to exchange with us. We’ll have lots of taste testers available so market attendees can sample our wares.
Merna Taouk loves good food (and tasty desserts) just like her customers do. In January 2013 she founded DessertMakers so she could share more of the delicious desserts that her friends and family were always asking her for. Merna’s cooking reflects her food philosophy; if you use the best quality ingredients, you get the best possible taste, and as Merna would say ‘The proof is in the pudding’.
Eat Me Chutneys
We are a mum and son team based in Sydney and make our socially good jars of chutneys and pickles by hand, in small batches. There are three product ranges on offer, each reflecting a desire to do kick ass good through the business; rescued, fairtrade and organic. We will have our current seasonal chutneys and pickles for both tasting and sale so come down, say hello, give us a hug, enjoy some chutney and pickle goodness and help us change the world, one jar at a time.

Homemade, in small batches, our dough is frozen on the day it’s mixed. We use quality ingredients in mouth-watering flavour combinations and prepare our dough with love so you can have fresh-baked, homestyle cookies whenever your heart (or hungry tummy!) desires.

We often hear about Israel but rarely about its wonderful street-food. Homeland Streetfood was created to introduce the diversity of Israeli food to Sydney! Our menu uses only the freshest quality ingredients, and built on the many influencing cultures which amalgamate to make the Israeli street-food experience. Homeland Streetfood is about originality, authenticity and something to share from our homeland and from our heart.
Karma Cola – is the real, ‘real thing’, a cola made with Fairtrade and organic ingredients including real cola nut from the rainforests of West Africa. Karma Cola’s original recipe includes vanilla bean grown by the Huiwani Fairtrade Cooperative in Papua New Guinea, and organically grown sugar cane from the Manduvira Fairtrade Organic Farmers in Paraguay. Karma Cola also makes a Fairtrade organic ginger ale called Gingerella, a lemonade called Lemmy and have just launched the new All Good and Sparkling fruit range which includes blackcurrant, white grapefruit, red grapefruit, blood orange and bitter lemon flavours.
Kettle Town was born from the quest to make a blend of chai which in turn began our fascination with flavours and aromas. Our gourmet flavoured teas are encouraged to be accompanied by desserts which accentuate, enhance or contrast the notes of each blend. Milla Cordial is based in the wonderful fruit growing area of Orange in New South Wales. The name Milla is a shortening of Millamolong, and its heritage is of country living, sportsmanship and community. You might even spy the Millamolong polo pony on our bottles somewhere! Developing the recipes, and fine tuning them to be a delicate balance of flavours took a little longer than we thought! With a little help from family and friends, we finally launched our first two flavours at the wonderful Orange FOOD Week in April 2013 and went on to win 2 medals at the Royal Sydney Fine Food Show. So sit back and enjoy a long glass of Milla Cordial, preferably with heaps of ice, lashings of mint and just imagine a cool shady post under a Coolibah tree.
Mr. Bao has created a fusion of Vietnamese and Japanese twist to the iconic Taiwanese street food – Gua Baos. He has a generation of baking history to perfect the hand-made pillow-soft steamed buns. Today he continues to respect the legacy of traditional baking, whilst introducing contemporary Asian flavours to bring the street-food culture of Gua Baos to a whole new level.
Organics for Lily
Organics for lily was created by Melbourne based Naturopath Melissa Khonsavang who decided to combine her love of tea with her background in naturopathy. We have created a therapeutic range of herbal teas to promote health balance and wellbeing. We also offer a range of green tea blends, delicious organic infusions and teapacks and tea wares. We hand blend our teas and source only the highest quality organic ingredients from Australia and around the globe. Changing the health of the world one cup of tea at a time.
Prodjuice – Cold Pressed Juice. We are a small batch, boutique, cold pressed juice company bringing you with the tastiest, freshest, most nutritious juice you ever did try! Prodjuice sprouted on Sydney’s Northern Beaches in 2013. Our ethos is simple. We want to bring you a high quality product, good for your health & good for the environment. Our juice is pressed in small batches, each batch tasted & checked, then bottled lovingly by hand in reusable glass bottles.
Artisan, ultra premium, hand made Christmas puddings, using organic figs, Cooper stout and French Brandy. Each pud comes uniquely wrapped in a hand screen printed tea towel to make the ultimate gift.
Sugar Deli specialises in home baked delicious sweet treats. Specialising in Cupcakes, we also sell a range of brownies, as well as gluten free / dairy free and healthy options. All baked with love and incorporating as many organic products as possible into our recipes!
The Dairy Cart
The Dairy Cart will be rolling into Sydney Finders Keepers with their authentic Italian dairy cart. Serving up 100% natural and sugar free yoghurt, combined with yummy fruit compotes and bundles of fresh fruit for a healthy and 100% natural treat.
The Jam Bandits
The Jam Bandits are a small Sydney based jam and preserving company dedicated to improving our daily accompaniments. All of our preserves are made by hand, in small batches using only what’s fresh and in season. Because of this you’ll find our flavours change through out the year. Whilst some of them are a little different to the ones Nanna made, we’re dedicated to observing the time honoured process of preserving and take pride in offering a product that has been carefully and artfully nurtured.
The Little Grocery Service
The Little Grocery Service grew out of the desire to feed our family well. We were dissatisfied with what was on offer in our local area and felt we could source superior quality and a better variety ourselves. We love everything to do with food. We love growing, cooking and eating food. You could say it is our passion. In life before children, Alison worked for Vogue Entertaining and Travel in the food department. At Vogue, Alison wrote recipes, tested recipes and worked as part of the team to create amazing food stories that graced the magazines pages.
The Luz Almond Company
We believe in the goodness of nature. For years we searched for a dairy alternative that left us feeling vital and energised, whilst satisfying that craving for milky goodness. We wanted almond milk that was made from real almonds, not almond flavouring. We wanted a creaminess that was derived from real foods, not thickeners, preservatives and fillers.
