Hi, I was just wondering about your justification of the ‘entry fee’ – people are going there to spend money… malls don’t charge for you to go in neither do other markets, art exhibition openings etc. I am aware of charges and overheads, but its seems a little excessive to charge to public to ‘enter’. You have already charged the stall holders massive amounts of money to hold a stall and advertise their makings and I know $2 isn’t really very much, but it still irks me enough to ask.

    Hi There,
Thanks for your feedback. Did you make it along to the Sydney markets on the weekend? If you did you could see how much of an upgrade the markets has now got with our re-launch at ATP. Such a massive event, brings in many, many costs, and without a $2 entry fee we would not be able to put on an event of such a large scale. We have offered much more room for our patrons to enjoy, and much more choice in stalls including food now, we feature local musicians for everyone to enjoy. There is alot of work that goes into an event, and we now have to employ triple the amount of crew to help with putting this all together. We all worked extremely hard on the markets, alot of people putting in their time for free too. I can assure you the $2 entry fee is not going to our own profits, all the money raised goes back into our events and is invested in making our events better for the future. We hope that you can understand our position, and our aim is to only make the Finders Keepers a positive, inspiring experience for everyone to enjoy.
