Blue-eyed quirky soul/pop singer, Bec Laughton, is an endearing and feisty “vocal powerhouse”. The firey songstress is known for her quirky uninhibited lyricism, irresistible grooves and intoxicating stage presence. Like eating a melting soul/popsicle on a warm summers day her music will inspire, invigorate and increase your apatite. Chewing on influences from the 50’s-70’s soul/funk her baby blues tell a new tale. A budding soul songstress with a quirky tongue, drizzling melodies that taste of Lauryn Hill style hip-hop/gospel, hints of Erykah Badu and drops of jazz.

Dave Flower’s song writing presents an individual style, topical and emotive, a touch feisty with social commentary but undeniably groovy with lot’s of rhythm and energy. A faithful acoustic guitarist throughout his musical journey, David’s sound is warm and earthy flowing through various styles while engaging audiences with his lyrical delivery and catchy harmonica melodies.

The soundscape is complete with a dynamic rhythm section of bass, drums, percussion and vocal harmonies inspiring and entertaining both the listener and the dancer with the bands trademark free spirited show. Established as an Aussie festival favourite and always on the move David Flower has released 2 albums with 3rd to be released later this year with National tour dates to follow.

Having been born and bred in the far Northern Territory Ilona Harker’s music reflects the depths and wilds of this frontier landscape. Ilona moved to Sydney and studied under Ian Miller at JMC Academy before moving to Brisbane where she started working with Butterfingers as a singer and performer. After realising her passion was not hip hop, Ilona formed ‘Sugartown’ an all girl 5 piece original country ensemble but the peace of country life called and Ilona moved to sleepy Brunswick Heads in Northern NSW to pursue a solo career and teach herself to play guitar and ukulele.

After 2 years being relatively quiet Ilona went on a small tour of France and met up with Marc Collin from Nouvelle Vague who offered to produce Ilona’s debut album in France under his own label. However the opportunity to work with Jodi Phillis and Tim Oxley in Australia was an offer to good to refuse and Ilona began her recording in 2010. Ilona’s debut solo album ‘That Which Lasts’ is an independent album of extraordinary originality imbued with lush and heart melting moments.

Brisbane inhabitants Blackwood Willow formed through combined tastes in folk, pop, blues and primitive psychedelic rock. A 5 piece band driven on cultivating a raw-hypnotic live sound while sticking within contemporary rationality.

Chrislyn Hamilton was the ‘last girl standing’ for Australian Idol 2008 when she was only 17 years old. Chrislyn amazed both the judges and the Australian audience with her powerful soul voice, her ability to interpret soft ballads and her incredible stage presence.

After a well deserved break, Chrislyn has formed an amazing band of talented Brisbane musicians. They have a song list that includes Jazz, Pop, Rock and Soul. Their line-up starts at a four-piece but can include brass section and backing vocals. Chrislyn Hamilton band is ready to rock the socks off your stage. Her energy, charisma and humour are unique, her band reflect this with their powerful rhythm section and vocals.
