Three Things at Finders Keepers Markets

Posted by: Three Things Project on Monday 01/12/2008

Three Things I am…
Three Things I love…
Three Things that frustrate me…
Three Things I can do for a stranger…
Three Things I’d like to change…

Three Things provides the space for you to share your thoughts and ideas about what makes our world tick and how we can make it better….

Come and visit us at the Finders Keepers markets to create your own Three Things work of art while responding creatively to one of our Three Things questions. These art works will be on display for everyone to see. On Saturday afternoon they’ll be judged and the winner will receive their own Oxfam Unwrapped piglet.

Three Things is a project of Oxfam Australia.

Andy Uprock - Graffiti for the Blind - Poetry in Braille

The show comprises large scale interactive braille work with cups, interactive braille jewellery collab between Andy Uprock & tmod (Milenka Osen & Georgie Swift) and a series of photographic work by Jeremy Wolf.

Their mission for this exhibition is to poetically engage the senses of the human heart, in turn alchemising and broadening new avenues in communication through the language of braille.

The vision for this show is to give a new understanding to the language of braille in society, opening up possibilities of a new conscience on how we as people perceive communication.

All works for sale with a percentage to be donated to Vision Australia

Wednesday, November 26, 2008 - Show runs until Saturday November 29th.
6:00pm - 9:00pm
MTV Gallery
4-16 Yurong St
Sydney, Australia

Tee-Party:  Custom Tees and Cups of Tea

By Sonya Gee

I stumbled across Alex Horn via a stairwell one day, a decorated stairwell that had become the subject of an indoor paste up.  I saw the boulders first, then coins stuck higher up the wall in easy jumping distance and when I reached the top of the stairs, a pixelated paper Donkey Kong grimacing at me, arms at the ready, a paper castle just beyond him...
