Sydney, we’ve missed you! There’s something truly special about gathering with our community of creatives, makers, and market-lovers, and we couldn’t be more excited to return to Carriageworks this November. Over three days, you’ll have the chance to meet more than 200 incredible independent designers and makers, with 30+ new brands joining our fam. It’s the perfect place to shop thousands of unique handmade items and connect with the people behind the products.
At The Finders Keepers, we believe markets are more than just shopping; they’re about connection, celebration, and sharing in a space where creativity brings us all together. From discovering thoughtfully crafted gifts to meeting new friends and catching up with old favourites, this market is a celebration of community in every sense.

Our Makers Community
At the heart of The Finders Keepers is our community of makers, and this November in Sydney, they’re ready to meet you! With over 200 independent stallholders, including 30+ exciting new brands, you’ll discover treasures that tell a story. From jewellery and hand-built ceramics to slow fashion and vibrant art prints, every purchase directly supports local creatives and the communities they nurture. Whether you’re filling your tote with festive-season gifts or something special for yourself, you’ll leave with more than just a product; you’ll leave with a connection. [Explore the full lineup here!]

Low Sensory Hour
We want everyone to feel welcome at our market, which is why we hold a Low Sensory Hour on Sunday from 9am to 10am. During this time, lights will be lowered, music softened (or switched off), and capacity reduced to create a calmer, more inclusive experience. It’s our way of making sure everyone has space to connect with makers in a way that feels comfortable. Visitors inside during this hour are welcome to stay on once the market opens to the public at 10am. [Learn more and get tickets here.]
The Dining Room
A whole room for food! The Dining Room has hot food, bars, coffee and live music all weekend. You can also fuel up for your market day with coffee or tea and treats in the marketplace hall.
3-Minute Portraits
Bring home more than memories: snag an iconic piece of art made just for you. Illustrator Eleonora Arosio will be offering her much-loved 3-Minute Portraits, drawing you as one of her quirky, loveable characters. It’s not just about the drawing, it’s about pausing, connecting, and being seen. Pop by her stall early to secure a spot, and you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind keepsake that reflects the joy of our community.

Join the Banish Activation at the Market
To celebrate National Recycling Week, we’re teaming up with Banish for something special at our Sydney Design Market (14–16 November).
Here’s what’s happening:
- Drop-in Lid Sorting Workshops: You’ll even get to join in the fun! Sort bottle top lids with the Banish team, learn about their recycling process, and see how those lids are transformed into something new. Each participant will walk away with a recycled plastic star made from five bottle top lids, complete with a co-branded swing tag.
- Shop Upcycled Creations: Explore their retail space featuring products made from plastics that have been given a second life. Banish will be bringing along their wonderfully recycled pens, laptop sets, carabiners, earrings, coasters and much more.
- Recycle with BRAD: Bring along your hard-to-recycle items (like empty beauty tubes, coffee pods, or pens) and drop them into the onsite BRAD boxes. Banish will make sure they’re recycled properly for free!
It’s an easy, feel-good way to take action, and a beautiful reminder that sustainability thrives when we all play a part.

Indigenous Program
We’re honoured to welcome Jessica Ann Leffley of Bird Girl Creations as our SS25 Sydney Indigenous Program recipient. Jess is an artist, author, and educator whose work celebrates Australian fauna, storytelling, and sustainability. Her practice not only shares beauty but also preserves knowledge, weaving together creativity and culture. Supporting First Nations makers is a vital part of our community ethos, and we can’t wait for you to meet Jess, hear her stories, and connect with her incredible creations at Carriageworks. Read more about Jess here.
Mindfulness Mural
Creativity comes alive when it’s shared, and this year, Hamy Do of Myii Creative is bringing that spirit to the market with her Mindfulness Mural, ready for you to colour in! Known for her joyful, multicultural illustrations and ceramic work, Hamy’s mural is more than just art on a wall; it’s a space to pause, smile, and reflect. She loves connecting with people, so stop by, say hello, and see how her work sparks conversations and community connections.

Live Music
Markets are about more than shopping; they’re about atmosphere, too. That’s why we’ve curated a lineup of local artists and DJs to soundtrack your weekend. From Friday’s upbeat DJ sets to mellow Saturday and Sunday live music, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re dancing with friends or unwinding with a drink, our music program is about creating shared moments that make the market feel like a home away from home.
