Founded by husband-and-wife duo Troy & Cerisa, the pair proudly run a 100% Indigenous-owned tea and coffee company, where they lovingly blend native Australian botanicals with rich cultural roots and storytelling.
But don’t just take our word for it… These legends are the proud winners of Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars Australia 2024! They took home the top prize and scored a global mentor who believes in everything they’re brewing up.

How did Blak Brews begin? What was the inspiration behind the brand?
Blak Brews started with a kettle, a couch, and a wild idea—to make tea that tells a story. We wanted to honour our ancestors, celebrate native ingredients, and create a cuppa that actually feels like home.
Why do you think it’s important to use organic, native ingredients in your products?
Because our land grows magic. For us, these are more than just ingredients; they represent a profound heritage. Our aim is to respect and honour that heritage with every brew we create. Our family has known about these ingredients for thousands of years—why mess with perfection? We keep it local, organic, and full of flavour that’s good for your soul.
What are you looking forward to most about being at The Finders Keepers market?
Sharing yarns, pouring tasters, and meeting legends who care about what’s in their cup. We don’t usually do markets, but The Finders Keepers is special. It’s got the right energy.
What can market-goers expect from your stall?
Our full tea and coffee range, plenty of tastings, and a good vibe. No dusty doilies, just bold blends, big flavour, and maybe a cheeky laugh or two.
You were the first winners of Gordon Ramsay’s Foodstars, an amazing achievement for such a young brand. What’s next for Blak Brews?
World domination (kidding… kinda). We love seeing our teas pop up in spaces that value good flavour, good health, and good storytelling. We’re now across over 80 premium retailers across the country, served at an ever growing number of amazing cafés and high-end restaurants, and have landed in several airports. We’re gearing up to land in hotels, and export overseas. But at the heart of it, we’re staying true to sharing the Blak Brews journey, one brew at a time.
