Melbourne Food Market Wrap Up

We just served up something truly special, our very first Food Market! And what a weekend it was! With the sun shining (cheers, Melbourne!) and over 50 incredible food and drink makers ready to share their craft, we welcomed food lovers from all over to discover, savour, and celebrate mindfully made flavours.

This brand-new event, delivered in collaboration with the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, was a labour of love, one that started way back in September when the opportunity first landed on our desks. From concept to curation to crunch time, our team poured their hearts into bringing this delicious vision to life. Browse the full gallery of photos here.

The Highlights

The Food Art Gallery – A feast for the eyes! This stunning showcase of food-inspired artworks, created by our talented stallholder community, brought creativity and cuisine together in the most delightful way.

The Mindfulness Mural – A hands-on, interactive masterpiece by our long-time stallholder pals, The Nonsense Maker. Guests were invited to slow down, colour in, and discover the beauty of seasonal produce.

Still Life Drawing: Sit & Sketch – A moment of creative calm, curated by Roxanna & Daisy, where visitors picked up pencils and captured the essence of food through art.

The Perfect Melbourne Weekend – With blue skies and sunshine as our backdrop, the city set the scene for a vibrant foodie celebration.

Delicious Eats, Sips, & Treats – Our incredible ready-to-eat stallholders kept us well-fueled with mouthwatering bites, refreshing sips, and sweet indulgences.

Exciting Giveaways – Lucky visitors scored amazing prizes, thanks to our generous friends at Blundstone Australia and Carla Dinnage.

A Huge Thank You

Events like these don’t happen without an incredible community behind them. We’re beyond grateful to our stallholders, makers, and wonderful attendees for making this market one to remember. A special shoutout to our amazing event partners, Firecracker Event, Food for Everyone, Posca and our fantastic venue, Meat Market. A huge thank you to Breeana Dunbar for beautifully capturing all the magic of the market! Browse the full gallery of photos here.

We loved every minute of this delicious journey and can’t wait to do it all again soon. Until next time, Melbourne, keep celebrating and supporting local food makers. We’ll be back to our regular Design Market programming on July 11th – 13th at the Royal Exhibition Building. See you there!
