We chat with soap making legend Mish, the owner / maker behind Raw.Suds, as she prepares for her stall at our Sydney market.
Tell us a little about yourself and how you came to begin your label
After making soap for 7 years just for my friends and family, it was my daughter Holly who gave me the little push to make a social media page to see if Raw.Suds would strike the interest of others.
Never ever would I have dreamt that my little love of making soap could grow and become a part of so many lifes. All our products are still made in small batches and each blend is created with so much love and thought.
Raw.Suds will always be such a special part of my life and looking back at how it has progressed brings such warmth to my heart. It is so amazing to see the support of our communities behind our product.
Who inspires you and your creative process?
When I walk through the doors of a Finders Keepers market, from the set up to the pack down I am always so inspired by all the creatives that come together with such passion behind their product. The talent amongst the stalls is incredible and I am very inspired by the creators/makers behind the products and their drive to create amazing things.

Tell us something exciting that you have planned for your label
We will be launching a few new products at Sydney FK in December which have been closely kept under wraps for the big reveal for Christmas. Expect to find a new Poppi sugar scrub filled to the brim with earths goodness, an amazing new ‘Fresh Tonic’ soap shard with a little twist on our traditional soap bars and our ever so popular Christmas boxes filled with an amazing selection of Raw.Suds.
In our Christmas Fresh Tonic Box, we have put together a collection of new and favourite products to make Christmas at Raw.Suds shopping easy for our customers. Raw.Suds is always working on something new and exciting but it takes lots of test runs to create the final product.
Name one resource that your label could not live without
Raw.Suds absolutely could not happen without our earths natural mineral clays. They are a big part of our products as we focus on using only natural and organic ingredients. We use these clays rather than harmful colours so your skin receives whole benefits from using our products. The benefits of using mineral clays on your skin is huge and in almost every product we include one of the many clays.

Tell us about your favourite product from your collection
It would have to be the ever so popular detox range. This is one product I am very proud of because of how unique it is and different to what is already available in the body product market. The blends of cypress, grapefruit, sage, rosemary and ginger throughout either the soap bars or salt scrub is just beautiful and so nourishing to the whole body. With a little avocado oil, green clay, a blend of dead sea salts and organic oats is all that is needed to create this beautiful creation to detox your skin. Exfoliates, moisturisers, removes impurities and leaves your skin feeling amazing.
