Valley Plains Pottery is the South Gippsland based ceramic studio of artist Zak Chalmers. His works are all made by hand in his studio overlooking Wilson's Promontory and fired in two traditional woodfired kilns.
Zak's ceramics explore the pure and malleable qualities of clay. He concentrates on creating pieces that bring art and functionality together through the everyday rituals of cooking, eating and drinking. Focusing on the act of creating a meal to share and taking time to appreciate the aesthetics of simple tableware. Valley Plains Pottery range includes: cups, teapots, plates, bowls, jugs, dishes, spoons, vases and cooking ware.
