Seam Magazine
Seam Magazine

Seam Magazine is a new independent magazine based out of Brisbane and distributed nationally. It fosters the creative, covering fashion, art, craft, design, music, travel, food and more. The writing inspires, the imagery stimulates, and the magazine supports emerging creative practitioners.

We wanted Seam to be an avenue for all the young and emerging creatives out there to gain exposure for the amazing work they are doing. So for this first issue we’ve tracked down some pretty neat start-ups to tell you their stories, as well as some more experienced folk who we’re so glad pursued their dreams and are treadling along smoothly. All the garments and accessories we’ve featured in the photo shoots are handmade by emerging Australian designers, with a smidge of vintage mixed in for good measure.

Seam was written and photographed all around Australia, designed in London and printed in Brisbane on 100 per cent recycled FSC-certified paper using soy based inks. Pop the kettle on and get your cup of tea ready for the tactile eco-papery goodness of Seam Magazine’s The Start-Ups issue, out October 30th 2011.
