Petals in Metals
Currently based in Melbourne, I make limited edition “Kinetic jewellery” with precious and non-precious metals and gemstones. The piece is usually made in number of layers which are riveted together to create movements and produce different styles to wear in one piece. I mostly fuse different metals like gold, copper, mild steel in between silver sheets and make different patterns out of it. My approach is very much design oriented which evolves through series of experimentations: some of them work and some not, but there is always something to learn and improve. The idea is to have fun making it as well as wearing it!
