Paper boat press is the Brisbane based boutique ceramic studio of artist and poet Kylie Johnson. Created in-house are her now signature ceramic quote tags, cloud brooches and annual Christmas ornament range. With an ethos around a production line of work that can be both ethically made and affordable, as well as being a lovingly crafted small piece of art, paper boat press has hit its stride.
Also included in the studios work is one off vessels featuring original poetry, small stationery ranges, letterpress prints, pencils and the ever-growing list of collaborations with other local artists. Kylie has a book of her poetry published with Murdoch Books (2008) called count me the stars. Her follow up collection a once courageous heart was released in March last year.
