After many years in a corporate industry I finally took the plunge to study a degree in fine arts and am currently in my second year at Sydney College of the Arts. Shibori is a traditional form of Japanese resist dyeing technique that I came across in my first year of study. A craft that resonated with me through it's accidental specificity.
MIWA translates to beauty and peace, it is a self-titled label of hand crafted silk scarves and handkerchiefs, a way for me to share some Japanese simplistic beauty with you. As each item is hand-dyed, no two prints are the same, and even unisex in design, so I encourage you to be creative and experimental with how you wear them. The only limitation is your imagination.
