I live in the sweaty, sticky top end of Australia and up here all things Frankie are beautiful reminders of a southern world where people sip tea and work with wool. Our Lazy Crafternoons collective tried crochet last weekend and it all ended rather ‘soggily’ in the pool! Please oh please…all things Frankie…we need you to stay sane during the build up!

  • Stine says:

My 15 year old daughter has a little bit of Frankie all over her walls. She even asks boutique owners to share their Frankie posters when they’ve finished with them. She is your biggest fan. Imagine what a Frankie calendar would do for my popularity stakes!!!

  • Tracey Angel says:

My clients love to read Frankie in the waiting room, look at Frankie on the wall and have their names written in Frankie as appointments. So many of them are now buying Frankie themselves. My little Yorkshire terrier therapy dog is also called Frankie so we have a Frankie day every day at my psychology rooms. I will post a pic of Frankie (if I can). I so often have conversations with clients about creativity and about ways they might find helpful to reconnect with it to help them stand up to depression and anxiety and the other problems that threaten to dominate them and their lives. These conversations often result in them taking an armful of Frankie mags home with them – after a big cuddle with Frankie my co-therapist – to help them with their path to reconnecting to creativity and to hope and to life and living. Thank you Frankie – from me and from so many others.

I am a new mummy and as I grow up (im 24). I am starting to appreciate more finer things in life. Having to be the only woman in my house I dont have ‘nice things’… So a little Frankie in my life will add a touch of sophistication and ‘woman’ back into my days…

  • Heath Doucette says:

With five children, a business being developed and two renovations underway, I always need organization in my life. BUT, the artwork is the real draw here. It would be so nice to look at this throughout the day!

  • Munaiba says:

I’m somewhat disorganised and a new diary or calendar is probably just what the Organising Doctor ordered!

We are moving to France next year, it will keep us company, in schedule and remind me of the beauty of home.

  • Amy says:

I have made the choice to become a PhD nerd as of this year, so I need a bit of Frankie to keep me on track so I can make it through the year and the next 3 so I can be Dr Amy (plus having a Frankie diary would make me slightly less nerdy!)

I love the illustrations on your diary/calendar! Pls pick me to be yr lucky winner so that I dont do what i do each year! Wait till March & buy calenders when they go on sale at 75% off! That’s a quarter of my yea lived in disorganization!!

  • Like most women here I live a hectic life: I am a freelance photographer, designer and children’s books illustrator. Only one problem: Frankie Magazine is not available in my country (the Netherlands). Not even in the biggest English bookshop in Amsterdam! I even searched bookstores in Germany but I couldn’t find it there eitehr. A diary or calendar would be the best thing ever, so I can mark down my appointments and dates and still have a bit of Frankie in my daily life.

  • Stephanie Wilson says:

Seeing wonderful Frankie illustrations every day would brighten up anyone’s world…we all could use a bit of ‘bright’ in todays world. A little bit of inspiration spread around (…my house)!

  • Leah says:

I love both of these, I work two jobs and go to uni and am in deep need of a new diary and calendar for next year! Please pick me! x

  • Peta says:

I must have a little bit of Frankie in 2012 ’cause it keeps me inspired. I put the calendar (from Frankie Mag) up in my grey office & everyone around loves it. Seeing Frankie images makes me feel that I’m part of the ‘creative people’ even if I’m not working in my ideal creative job. Sometimes I make my own collage of images & stick over the pattern on the mag calendar! So Frankie inspires me to be creative even in a little way and that makes a huge difference to me & those around me. Thanks Frankie you brighten my life.

    2012
1st Januray – New Years Day
    3rd January – Tahl’s Birthday
    12th Januray – Our Anniversary
    16th January – Grandads Birthday
21st January – Oh Oh I know there is something happening on this day, is it Grandmas Birthday? Is it first day back at work? Is it a spotlight sale? This wouldn’t happen if I had a frankie diary……

  • Deb says:

My gorgeous 16 year old niece in the UK just adores anything Frankie and I’m spending a fortune mailing her copies of the magazine as there isn’t a stockist of the magazine within a 50km radius of her. A calendar or diary would be the icing on the cake. She’s an extremely talented artist and photographer and the calendar artwork would not only inspire her but would also brighten up some very dreary days that lay ahead over a long english winter!

  • Ellie Gleeson says:

Because life is too short not to be surrounded by beautiful things.

  • Mel says:

I need a little bit of Frankie love in 2012 because I lost my beautiful old 2 storey brick studio in the central city of Christchurch during the February earthquake and have been working from home ever since! A pretty Frankie calendar or diary would keep me company whilst I fritter away hours on the computer in my bedroom…

  • lesley Phillips says:

I love the whole concept of Frankie and at 59 I just love each time I get the latest edition. It covers all things that are important to me from recipes, fashion to somebody’s story. I always feel inspired after reading it and I still revisit past publications.

  • Azzy says:

  • Stephanie Peta says:

There is nothing like a little piece of inspiration to carry with you! A diary is the place to jot down ideas, reminders and collect importants bits & bobs through out your day. I always have my diary with me and love choosing the right one each yr! Being a design and marketing student in my final yr, this would be the perfect gift to get me through… Frankie is the perfect way to start, journey through and finish 2012! <3 xo

  • Emily Tredrea says:

There once was a time I would sleep-in all day
As a university student this was the usual way.
You would find me amidst mountains of clothes,
In my bedroom with walls filled with paintings and prose.
My mirror was covered with pretty delights,
Inspirational cut outs, and colourful sights.
I would doodle and draw, and paint as I liked,
And rocked out to great bands and watched movies all night.

Now married and older, with a child of 2,
Another on the way, with a big belly in view.
I wake in the morning to the homely demands,
And a child who always need me always at hand.
As I work on a Friday, my wandering mind,
Casts back to the days of a more colourful kind.
My days could start out just that little more swell,
With a bit of Frankie each day in 2012.

  • alison says:

As I while away the days in my workshop I need reminding of the world that is out there.

  • Lola says:

In this time, of this generation, it’s easy to get caught up in messy schedules and lose sight of the important things in life.
Frankie’s Diary would be the beneficial element to keep my life in order and on track (whilst being uber stylish of course).
Not only is Frankie a valuable source of reading material (that far exceeds the common magazine publications these days in my opinion), Frankie also provides craft/photography/cook books, diaries, calendars and influential and entertaining articles by the wittiest writers I’ve come across (and end up bragging about these articles to my friends). Honestly, most of their articles stay with me for days.
It seems like most magazines are far too concerned about the lives of such boring mediocre celebrities and “how to be just like them” articles of no substance.
Thank you Frankie for reassuring us that we should always be ourselves and not get caught up in the mainstream hype. My world is that much brighter knowing you’ll always be around.
