CHARLES BUDDY DAABOUL – 6pm
Charles Buddy Daaboul did a European Autumn of 2010. He relaxed and without even knowing, captured moments and ideas to turn into songs. Once he got back to Sydney he moved into a new apartment and started growing a forest on his balcony. In between studying to become a scientist and watching Spanish football on TV, Charles is currently writing songs with his guitar, voice and the odd percussive instrument. He will be releasing a 4 track cassette and download which is due to be ready by the end of May.

CUTHBERT – 7pm
Front man and songwriter for Cuthbert and the Night Walkers Richie Cuthbert has had to leave the bells and whistles and pick up his guitar.
With a brand new album out later this year catch a set full of brand new songs in their infancy. Guitar and emotion, all on his lonesome.

THE RESCUE SHIPS – 8pm
The Rescue Ships fuses Elana Stone’s jazz influenced rock with Brian Campeau’s multi-layered experimental folk, citing influences like Sufjan Stevens, Owen Pallett, and the Dirty Projectors. Brian’s latest album was called “genuine genius” by Drum Media, and Elana has been described by the Age as “one of the best singing voices in the country.”
Currently working on a new album, the two have worked with many prominent artists- including Joanna Newsom, Kate Ceberano, Angus & Julia Stone, Josh Pyke, Bluejuice, The Cat Empire, and Jackson Jackson. Elana has also recently been touring globally, performing with acclaimed comedy trio, Tripod.

HAILER (acoustic) 9pm
Hailer are a four piece band from Sydney, Australia who released there debut LP Good Canyon. After releases and touring in 2007, 2008 and 2009, Good Canyon was recorded with producer Liam Judson’s (Cloud Control, Belles Will Ring, Lovetones) and his self-patented and mysterious echo chamber in June 2010. The recording method was simple – set it up, let it loose and keep the tape rolling. The result is an eclectic journey that recalls the musicality of Wilco and Radiohead, the psychedelia of Velvet Underground and Spiritualized, the groove of the Rolling Stones and Television and the ethos of Bob Dylan and Neil Young.

Jack Shit  (DJ)  10am – 1pm
FBi radio rascal and rabid raconteur Jack Shit found his girlfriend at Finders Keepers. She wasn’t cheap!

TERRY SERIO Bluebird 1pm
Terry Serio is an actor, singer, songwriter, writer, director, teacher and grateful Helpmann Award Winner – Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical for Keating! The Musical.

Catch Terry every Wednesday morning at 10 am on FBi’s Stagefright with Stephen Ferris – 94.5 FM
.
Terry has just started rehearsals for The Seagull @ Belvoir Theatre.  He is currently recording a new EP which will be set for release later this year.

EMMA DAVIS 2 pm
Emma Davis released her debut self- titled album late last year. Her single “Machines” – a stunning track that combines Emma’s rich melodies and humble sond of a Casiotone has been heard on tripl j and community radio stations around the country.  The self-penned record was co-produced with acclaimed troubadour Brian Campeau, with the pair working together to give Emma’s sweet melodies and subtle turn of phrase the delicate treatment that they deserve.  The result is a record made up of the quiet moments shared between people, stories of awkward conversations, mistaken loves and unfathomable friendships , told with such honesty that you can’t help but see yourself in them.
“Another impressive song form one the great quiet achievers of the Sydney scene. This one marries her great voice and ear for melody with percussion that sounds like Ben Gibbarb playing the spoons while waiting for his egg to boil” – Vijay Khurana, triple j on “Machines”
“Emma Davis highlights how lucky we are at the moment with great music. The Sydney musician has created a beautiful little debut album” – Music Feeds

JACKIE MARSHALL 3pm
Cutting her professional teeth as a ring-in for Hungarian-influenced world music band Tulipan ten years ago, sidestepping into composition for Slovenian puppet theatre before zigzagging into improvised art house folk and thereafter an eclectic reinvention of the indy rock of her teens, Jackie Marshall’s musical trajectory is anything but predictable. At its core however sits a rollicking voice of her own redoubtable design, founded in all the pathos and playful wisdom of torch singers down through the centuries.
“That rare thing: an Aussie original” The Weekend Australian
Marshall’s self-penned debut album Fight n’Flight was short listed for the Australian Music Prize in 2006. Her much lauded follow-up Ladies’ Luck made numerous high profile top ten lists of 2010.

JACK PREST (DJ) 3-5pm

Known for delivering quality tunes perfect for the mood, Jack will be laying down a smooth background of soul and funk music to enrich your market experience.
