Beattie Lanser is a clothing and accessories label for Men and Women. It is also the nickname of Beatrice the designer and maker. She makes clothes for men and women. Good fabrics...good prints...good design... good colours. She likes fabrics that feel good on human being’s bodies. She thinks that clothes need to be versatile and totally wearable and hopefully freeing. She makes things with her hands and her heart – for people.
In the past Beattie went to uni and studied fashion and textiles. After a stint of Sydney Fashion and then the world of shirts in London she got into furniture in Surry Hills. But her dream was always to be designing and making her own clothes. Funnily enough “Beattie Lanser - the Label” was born in a pizza restaurant in Melbourne in 2007.
Her latest range includes hand drawn stripes and geometric squares, designed in house and hand printed in Sydney. The colours are all summery goodness: Watermelon, wattle, jacaranda blue, string, navy and fuscia pink. The fabrics are all natural as per usual: linen, silk , viscose and cotton. All the garments are sewn in a little Shop with a dog called Gladys on the Northern beaches of Sydney.
