Welcome to A Wilderness for You & Me, a small quaint neck of the
woods where all objects and critters alike have all been lovingly
constructed by the hands of designer and illustrator Nyssa Skorji.
Nyssa
spends her time in between Melbourne where she lives and works, and
Tokyo where she grew up and her immediate family still remains.
She
loves rummaging through op shop shelves and squealing with delight at
new sets of encyclopedias and relaxing at a sun drenched
picnics.Otherwise you’ll find her feverishly cutting and sewing away in
her eclectic studio, with Sgt. Pepper a small black kitten curled up at
her feet and a warm cup of tea in hand.
Her current range of felt
necklaces and accessories feature faces of various woodland creatures,
babushkas, cameras and clouds; these little guys are all stitched by
hand and constructed out of laser cut cherry veneer and durable
industrial felt sourced from Japan.
